Abstract
This study assessed how public transportation affects the academic activities of Gombe State University students. Using questionnaires from 390 respondents, findings show that motorcycles and tricycles are the main transport modes. High costs, delays, and safety issues cause lateness and reduce academic performance. The study recommends subsidized fares, improved reliability, and dedicated university shuttles to enhance punctuality and learning outcomes.
