Abstract
This study comprehensively evaluates the impact of varying NPK fertilizer application rates on the growth and yield attributes of cowpea, including plant height, leaf development, pod formation, grain yield, and seed production to determine the optimal fertilizer dosage that maximizes cowpea productivity while ensuring sustainable agricultural practices. The result showed that optimal NPK fertilizer application significantly improved growth and yield parameters, with the highest grain yield obtained at 150kg/h NPK fertilizer rate. The study highlights the importance of balance fertilizer application for enhancing cowpea productivity and provides insights for optimizing fertilizer use in cowpea cultivation.
