To ensure an unbiased selection process, the simple random sampling technique without replacement was utilized. This resulted in the selection of 40 students from the four different levels across nine (9) departments. The data collected was subsequently collated and analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages and means in order to present and discuss the findings of the study. The findings of this study revealed that, the students in faculty of education, University of Port Harcourt have a positive attitude and perception towards the use of technology in exercise and sport to ensure their optimal performance. A few students are aware of the technology available that can improve exercise and sports performance. Based on the findings, it is recommended that there should be an awareness and orientation program to educate students on the need for technology-supported monitoring during exercise and sport activity. The incorporation of the use of technology into the curriculum of the Department of Sport and Exercise Science should be prioritized. Such a step would not only benefit students in this department but would also have a positive impact across other departments within the faculty. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of integrating technology into exercise and sport programs to optimize the performance of students.
