Job Satisfaction and Workers Performance in an Organization (a Study of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi)

Abstract
Abstract This study examines job satisfaction and worker’s performance in an organization. The primary source of data collection was used in the gathering of data. The primary source used was the questionnaire and personal interview. The research design used for the study is the survey research design. A total number of eight hundred and fifty-five (855) academic staff represents the population. Taro Yamane statistical sampling tool was adopted in the study. Two hundred and seventy-three (273) academic staff of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi formed the sample size of the study. While data collected were analyzed using [chi-square (x2 )] to analyzed and test the hypotheses formulated. Based on the analysed data, the findings revealed that promotion has a significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance in an organization; reward/pay affects job satisfaction and workers’ performance in an organization and working conditions affects job satisfaction and workers’ performance in an organization. It recommends that management of companies should provide good working conditions for its employees, so as to boost their morale
