Ethical Climate and Employee Performance in Organization

Abstract
This study examined ethical climate and employee performance in organization using seven up bottling company, Benin plant, Edo State as a case study. The major objective of the study was to find out whether there is any relationship between ethical climate and employee performance. In carrying out this research work, the descriptive survey research design was used in this work. The population of the study consists of 40 respondents which comprises of employees and management staff of Seven Up Bottling Company, Benin Plant, Edo State. A sample size of 30 respondents was used for the study. Questionnaire was the instrument used in gathering data for the study. The findings from the study show that a good order of authority in organizational structure promotes employee performance in an organization. Organizational structure with employee’s commitment of subordinates promotes good morale and job satisfaction, organizational structure allows staff participation in decision making so as to promote job performance. It was recommended that organizations should improve the ethical climate involving employees and management so as to enhance employees’ job performance.
