Abstract
ABSTRACT The persistence of crime and insecurity in Nigeria poses a critical challenge to national stabiliry. economic development, and public safety. This study evaluates the role and effectiveness of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in combating crimy and insecurity in Ile-fe, Osun State, benween 2020 and 2024. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from NSCDC officers, community leaders, residents, and security experts to analyze the strategies. challenges, and outcomes of NSCDC operations.
