Abstract
This study examines the impact of manpower development on organizational performance, focusing on A & Shine International Limited, Abuja. Manpower development, encompassing career growth, mentorship, and on-the-job training, is essential for equipping employees with the skills necessary for organizational success. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, using questionnaires and secondary data to explore the relationship between manpower development and key performance metrics such as productivity, innovation, and employee satisfaction. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation between manpower development and enhanced organizational performance. Career development initiatives boost job satisfaction and productivity, while mentorship provides critical support and knowledge transfer, leading to higher employee performance. On-the-job training further enhances skills, teamwork, and adaptability, making it crucial for maintaining a competitive edge. Challenges identified include inadequate resources, lack of management support, and resistance to change. Addressing these issues through strategic planning and effective communication is vital for the success of manpower development programs. Also, the study underscores the importance of investing in manpower development to achieve sustained organizational growth and success, offering valuable insights for companies in similar industries.
