Ffects of Modern Office Technology on the Performance of Office Secretaryin Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano

This study work titled “the effects of modern office technology on the performance of office secretary”. the specific objectives are; to identify the benefits of modern office equipment on the office secretary in Bayero university, Kano, to determine the training received by the staff related duties and performance on the office secretary in Kano State Polytechnic and to determine the challenges faces by using modern office equipment on the office secretary in Kano State Polytechnic. The population for this study comprises of all office administrators from all faculties of Kano State Polytechnic. The number of office administrators on 100 staffs will be used as our sample. Data from the study were collated, arranged and analysed with the arithmetic mean. The mean score was used to answer the research questions and the boundary limits of number were used. Based on the analysis of data the researcher found out that benefits of modern office equipment in and organization can be overemphasized because managers that uses modern office equipment contributes to organisational performance positively, modern office machine enhances quick decision making and make it easy to retrieve information when needed and modern office equipment provides dependency, durability and quality information in office secretary.Based on the finding, the researcher recommended thus: Organization should provide professionals with modern office equipment so that it will be easy for them to improve output and interact very well with their internal and outside publics, The professionals should be able to work perfectly without the assistance of their superior in and organization and Professionals should always use their initiatives and decisions in e-mails and computer files that are created to receive information in the organization.
