Politics and Conflicts: a Case Study of Ebiraland

Abstract
Politics is a process of conflict where group compete for authority and the control of scarce resources. There is necessarily tension between interests. When political system fails to manage conflicting interest, conflict may express its self violently. This research aimed to examine the causes of political tension and conflict in Ebiraland. The research primarily adopt secondary source of data collection. The research find out that the main causes of conflict in Ebiraland is the antagonistic interest of various groups. Hence, the research recommends that there should be balance ofpower among the respective groups in other to contain the uprising offurther conflicts.
