Abstract
This study examined the challenges and opportunities faced by small scalemillet farmer sinaccessing market opportunities and adding value to their produce in Jere, Borno State. A survey of 100 millet farmers was conducted to gather data on their demographic characteristics, market access, and value addition activities.The results showed that millet farmers in the studyarea face significant challenges in accessing markets,including high transportation costs, lack of market information, and limited access to credit facilities.The study also found that farmers have limited opportunities, with most selling their produce in raw form. Based on the findings, the study recommends the establishment of a transportation cooperative, investment in transportation infrastructure, and promotion of value addition activitie
