Human Resources Challenges in Attaining Organizational Goals

ABSTRACT This project attempts to look at the human resource challenges in organizational goal attainment.The common challenges confronting human resource process in attaining organizational goals are (i)communication problem(ii)failure to delegate and empower subordinate(iii)the challenges of developing effective,appropriate plan of action.In sorting out the challenges of human resource in attaining goals in an organization questionnaires were distributed to management and staff of Nigerian Bottling Company Plc.,Benin City.Findings from respondents revealed that there is positive relationship between communication and achievement of organisation's objectives.Delegation of authority and commensurate responsibility can enhance workers efficiency and increase productivity.Effective,appropriate plans of action have a significant relationship with workers productivity.For human resources department to achieve its goals in an organization,various recommendations were given.Any organization should strive to employ the service of qualified and trained individuals to handle human resource functions.Human resource staff should be adequately equipped with the necessary facilities to increase performance.Opportunities for attending seminars and workshops should be granted to officers who perform the human resources functions.The human resource department should strive to adopt good performance appraised and evaluation system in organization.
