Abstract
The purpose of this study was to ascertain the relationship between personal variables and physical activity among undergraduate students at the University of Calabar. To achieve the aim of this study, three research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The literature review was done in relation to the variables of the study. The correlational research design was adopted for the study. A sample of 200 students was selected for the study using the stratified and convenience random sample methods. The questionnaire was the main instrument used for data collection. Pearson product-moment correlation analysis was adopted to test the data generated at a 0.05 level of significance. The result of all the hypotheses indicates that there is a significant relationship between age, educational level, body weight, and how they relate to physical activity. It was recommended that the school should schedule physical activities that will accommodate students of different ages, accommodate students with excessive body weight, and those that will not clash with academic activities.
