Economic Potential of Baobab Tree in Jigawa State (a Case Study in Kazaure Emirate)

Abstract
Baobab tree (Adansonia digitata) has garnered attention for its multifaceted economic potential, particularly in region like Jigawa State, Nigeria. This study focuses on the Kazaure Emirate, aiming to evaluate the socioeconomic benefits derived from the Baobab tree and identify avenues for enhancing its utilization within Local communities. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with stakeholders, including farmers, local merchants and community leaders.
