Abstract
This reseurch work is aimed at evaluating the influence of fuel scarcity on the operation of broadcast station in Osun State. The objectives of the study are; to assess the impact of fuel scarcity on the operational efficiency of broadcast stations in Osun State, to evaluate the financial implications of fuel scarcity on Osun State Broadcast stations and to examine how fuel scarcity affects the quality and scheduling of broadcast content, among others. Relevant literature was reviewed while Resource Dependency Theory and System theory were adopted as the theoretical framework. The research method used was survey method and questionnaire being the instrument. 150 questionnaires was distributed of which all were retrieved successfully. Having gathered, analyzed and presented the data, the findings of the research reveals fuel scarcity severely disrupts the operational efficiency of broadcast stations, as inadequate power supply leads to frequent interruptions in broadcasting schedules. Many stations, especially smaller regional and community stations, report significant downtime or reduced broadcasting hours when fuel shortages occur.
