Abstract
The proposed design of an Entrepreneurship Centre for skill acquisition in Lokoja, Kogi State, aims to provide an enabling environment for training, innovation, and business development. The project focuses on addressing unemployment and the lack of practical vocational skills among youths and adults in the region. The proposed centre will serve as a hub for hands-on learning in various trades such as tailoring, ICT, carpentry, metal works, catering, and creative arts. The design concept emphasizes functionality, accessibility, sustainability, and adaptability to local climatic conditions. By incorporating flexible training spaces, workshops, administrative units, and exhibition halls, the centre seeks to foster entrepreneurial growth and self-reliance. Ultimately, the project contributes to economic empowerment, community development, and the reduction of social vices linked to unemployment.
