Abstract
This study examines how life frustration and loneliness influence the mental health of students in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Rivers State University. Frustration, resulting from unmet needs and goals, was found to significantly affect mental well-being, manifesting in depression, stress, and anxiety. A correlational design was used with 200 undergraduate respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20. The findings revealed a negative relationship between frustration and mental health—higher frustration levels corresponded with poorer mental health. The study recommends establishing campus wellness centers to provide counseling, stress management, and social support services to students.
