Assessment of Land Uses Pattern in Ankpa in Town, Kogi State.

Abstract
ABSTRACT survey approach. It was carried out with questionnaire administration, land uses, structures and sector survey. Systematic Random sampling of 748household heads within the identified 6 This research examined the assessment of land usespattern in Ankpatown. The study adopted a residential zones in Ankpa town was adopted. The residential areas were demarcated following routes within Ankpa town. Data were collected from related government ministries and methods. Findings from the study revealed that the land uses is positive as commercial land uses mostly interfere with residential units and mostly houses adhering to land use standards and owing departments as well as other secondary sources. The data collected were analyzed using statistical such as economic and personal drive. It shows that there is compatibility of land uses mostly, residential. These developments have impacted on health and urban sustainability in the area. of zoning, building to approve building plan, development control by authorities involved and settlement for the area. The recommendations include the provision of land use plan, enactment using approved standards for any land use development and public enlightenment campaign on Therefore. These will help to achieve a healthy, livable, prosperous and sustainable human built environment and related issues.
