Impact of Instrumental Materials on the Academic Performance of Adult Learners in Literacy Education Programmes in Oredo Local Government of Edo State

Abstract
This study is designed to examines the impact of instrumental materials on adult learners' academic performance in literacy education programs in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.To guide the study five(5) research questions were raised. The descriptive survey design was used in conducting the study. The population of the study constitute 288 respondents from three literacy centers in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo state. The study adopted the census sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled "Questionnaire on the Impact of Instructional Material on the Academic Performance of Students in Adult Education Literacy Programmes (QIIMAPSAELP). It was however subjected to face validity by the researcher's project supervisor and two other experts from The faculty of education University of Benin. The reliability was determined using instrument the test-retest procedure, which was measured using Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistical technique.
