Abstract

ABSTRACT The loan disbursement and repayment process is a critical aspect of financial management, requiring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. However, traditional manual methods often lead to delays, errors, and lack of proper tracking, affecting both lenders and borrowers. This study focuses on the design and implementation of an automated loan disbursement and repayment system, aimed at streamlining loan processing, ensuring proper documentation, and improving repayment tracking. The system is designed to facilitate loan application, approval, disbursement, and repayment monitoring through a secure and user-friendly web-based platform. Key features include automated loan eligibility checks, repayment scheduling, real-time notifications, and data analytics to track borrower performance. The system also incorporates role-based access, ensuring administrators, loan officers, and borrowers have appropriate privileges. The research follows a system development methodology, utilizing PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap to build a dynamic and responsive application. The system's performance is evaluated based on processing efficiency, accuracy of records, and user satisfaction compared to manual loan management approaches. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance loan processing efficiency, minimize default rates, and improve financial accountability, ultimately benefiting financial institutions and borrowers alike.
