Advertisement and Business Profitability in an Organization: a Study of Delta Broadcasting Service (dbs) Warri

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was carried out to determine advertisement and business profitability in an organization: A study of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Warri. The study was conducted in Nigeria Bottling Company, Warri. Three research questions and three hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A 15-item structured questionnaire was used as the instrument of the study and the instrument was administered personally. Out of fifty (50) copies of the questionnaires administered, 49 were retrieved and used for the study. The data collected were analysed using simple percentage in analysing the three research questions and t-test statistics was used to test the three null hypotheses. The findings generated are; there is a significant relationship between advertisement and consumer behaviour towards organization’s product, there is a significant relationship between advertisement and sales performance of business organization and there is a significance relationship between advertisement and profitability of business organization. From the findings, the study recommends that; advertising should not be focused on consumers alone but all who are concerned about the success of the firm’s new and as well as old products in the market place.
