The Impact of Air Transport Flows and Tourist Arrivals in Bauchi State, Nigeria

Abstract
This study examine the impact of air transport flows and tourist arrivals in the development of tourism in Bauchi state was carried out in order to find out the current state, the challenges facing air transport and tourist arrivals in the development of tourism, the opportunities for integrating air transport flows and tourist arrivals in the development of tourism in Bauchi state also the ways of improving the air transport flows and tourist arrivals in the development of tourism in Bauchi state. The research adopted the survey research design with the population study of 1100, however the sample size of 110 person was used. This study used questionnaire instruments of data collection with both open and close ended questions of the purpose of gathering information from the staff working in the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi state. The researcher recommended some possible findings, there is to need to provide comprehensive training to customer facing staff to ensure they knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to passengers need. Also the researcher suggested that tourist demographics need to be improved such as their countries of origin, spending habits and preferences and also understand who visit the state can help to tailor tourism strategies
