Abstract
ABSTRACT This research work aimed at “Impact of Computer Assisted Learning in Teaching Biology Students in Secondary Schools of Sabon Gari Local Government Area, Kaduna State”. The population of this study comprised of four thousand, six hundred and eighty (4,680) SS students. The sample for this study was three hundred and fifty seven (357) SS II Biology students. The instrument used in data collection was Biology Performance Test (BPT). Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation was used to answer research questions. Inferential statistics of ANOVA was used to test hypothesis one while t-test was used to test hypotheses two and three at 0.05 level of significance. The finding revealed that both Individualized and Cooperative Computer-Assisted Instruction methods improve biology students' performance more than the Conventional Method; it was also revealed that gender does not significantly influence performance in CAI or CCAI, highlighting the method as inclusive and effective approaches across gender. More so, finding revealed that gender does not significantly influence performance in CCAI, highlighting the method as inclusive and effective approaches across gender. It was recommended among others that schools and educators should incorporate Individualized and Cooperative Computer-Assisted Instruction methods into the biology curriculum. By doing so, educators can leverage the benefits of technology-based learning to enhance students' understanding and engagement with complex biological concepts, ultimately boosting academic performance.
