Abstract
Microorganisms, regularly found to colonize the different surface of the host, including skin, oral cavity, respiratory tract, urogenital, and gastrointestinal tract, and that peacefully coexist with their host, represent the normal microbiota or microflora and their collective genomes – the gut microbiome, which is the major part of the meta genome (microbiome plus the human genome). The present study assessed the vital organ protective and hypolipidemic activities of Lactobacillus spp. isolated in rats with imbalanced gut microbiota induced by antibiotics. The study was carried out by investigating the potential benefits of Lactobacillus isolated from pap in rats with imbalanced gut microbiota, identifying strains with the highest potential for promoting vital organs and hypolipidemic activities in rats with imbalanced gut microbiota, comparing the effectiveness of different Lactobacillus species isolated from pap and by determining the potential role of Lactobacillus species in reducing oxidative stress within vital organs, using scientifically approved experimental study design method to determine the lipid profile and antioxidant activities of the experimental rats. High density lipoprotein showed the highest lipid profile level (91.64µ/mg) of dysbiosis in the experimental rats while glutathione peroxidase showed the highest level (87.42µ/mg) of antioxidants activities in the experimental rats. Probiotics have the ability to positively influence the composition and balance of the gut microbiota, offering a potential avenue for addressing dysbiosis-related issues. The effectiveness of probiotics is highly specific to the strains used, the individual's unique microbiota profile, and the underlying condition
