Abstract
This research work focuses on the translation and explanation of selected Hadiths from Al-Musannaf of Abubakar Ibn Abi Shaibah, covering Hadith numbers 31462 to 31561, into the Hausa language. The study aims to make the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) more accessible to Hausa-speaking Muslims, thereby promoting a deeper understanding of Islam and its practical applications in daily life. The work highlights the central role of Hadith as the second primary source of Islamic law after the Qur’an and demonstrates the scholarly efforts of early Hadith compilers in preserving the sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet. Through careful translation, verification (Takhrij), and evaluation of the authenticity (Hukm) of each Hadith, the researcher provides both linguistic and contextual clarity. The findings reveal that most of the Hadiths discussed emphasize moral discipline, spiritual reflection, and devotion to Allah. The study concludes that translating Hadith literature into Hausa not only bridges the linguistic gap but also serves as an effective means of religious enlightenment, strengthening the faith and practice of the Muslim community.
