Employees Commitment and Job Performance in an Organization: (a Case Study of Freedom Group of Company, Ikpeshi, Edo State)

Abstract
ABSTRACT The study examined employee commitment and performance organization: using freedom group of company, ikpeshi, Edo State, Nigeria" as a case study. The objective of this study is to investigate if employee commitment increases organizational performance in freedom group of company. In order to achieve the objective data were obtained from the respondents with the aid of questionnaire. A sample size of (400) was selected randomly from the total population of 885 using purposive sampling techniques. A descriptive statistic was used to analyze the data, while correlation matrix was employed to determine relationship between the variables, and a chi-square was used to test the hypotheses at 5% significance level using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 21.0) from the analysis, the study revealed that employee commitment reduces organizational performance in freedom group of company. The researcher therefore recommended that organization should tend to be more motivated and dedicated to their work. This leads to increased productivity as they are more likely to go above and beyond their basic job requirements.
