Abstract
ABSTRACT Examination integrity is vital for academic institutions, but traditional monitoring methods often fail to address challenges like cheating and impersonation. This project designs and implements a solar-powered CCTV surveillance system to provide a sustainable and autonomous solution for exam monitoring, especially in areas with unreliable electricity. The system integrates high-definition cameras, solar panels, deep-cycle batteries, and PTZ cameras with advanced software for live monitoring, motion detection, and secure data management. Video Management Software (VMS) enables real-time alerts, user access control, and encrypted footage storage, ensuring security and scalability for venues of various sizes. Evaluated in simulated scenarios, the system demonstrated energy efficiency, reliability, and enhanced monitoring capabilities. Challenges like energy storage optimization and network connectivity were addressed, highlighting the potential of combining renewable energy with surveillance technologies to maintain academic integrity effectively.
