Abstract
ABSTRACT Flood disasters pose a significant threat to the community living along Ibie Road, with historical events causing damage to infrastructure and livelihoods. This study aims to investigate the systematic management of flood disasters in Ibie Road, focusing on vulnerability assessment and resilience-building strategies. Through a combination of field surveys, data analysis, and community engagement, this research identifies the key factors contributing to flood vulnerability in the area. By mapping out the most flood-prone areas and analyzing past events, the study provides valuable insights into the specific challenges faced by residents of Ibie Road. Furthermore, this research examines the existing flood management practices in the area and evaluates their effectiveness in mitigating flood risks. By assessing the strengths and weaknesses of current strategies, the study seeks to propose evidence-based recommendations for enhancing the systematic management of flood disasters in Ibie Road. Community participation is a key component of this study, with a focus on empowering residents to take proactive measures to reduce their vulnerability to floods.
