Assessment of Electrical and Electronics Teachers' Lesson Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation of Practical Skills in Technical Colleges of Kano State, Nigeria

Abstract
This study investigate the Assessment of Electrical/Electronics Teachers Lesson Plan Implementation and Evaluation of Practical Skills in Technical Colleges, Kano State, Nigeria. This study adopted a survey research design, and the study comprise of population 909 NTC 3 students Electrical/Electronics in 35 Technical Colleges of Kano State Nigeria. Stratified random sampling was used to select the sample size of the study based on three geographical zones of Kano State Nigeria, which is Kano central, Kano south, and Kano north with 40 students selected from each zone which make the sample size 120 students selected from the total population of 874 student’s population in Kano. The instrument used in carrying out this research is questionnaire titled “Assessment of Teachers used of Practical Lesson for Skill Acquisition in Electrical/Electronics Trade at Technical Colleges of Kano State” the instruments were validated by three experts from the Department of Science and Technology Education Bayero University Kano and experienced Technology Teachers. The instrument for data collection was pilot tested using Cronbach’s Alpha method to determine the internal consistency, mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions. The study recommended that Teachers should continue to plan lessons with focus on practical skills, industry standard, and emerging technologies, the government, through the ministry of education should provide funding, modern equipment and training for teachers and school administrator should monitor and evaluate lesson implementation to ensure effective skill acquisition
