Effect of Marijuana Intake on Menstrual Flow Amongst Girls of Reproductive Age in Irrua Esan Central Local Government Area

Abstract
*ABSTRACT* This study was conducted t o ascertain the effect of marijuana intake o n menstrual flow amongst girls of reproductive age in Irrua, Esan Central Local Goverment Area. The size o f the sample population was 100; 50 smokers and 50 non-smokers. Mean age of the sample population was 33.05+8.35 years (minimum of 21 years and maximum of 46 years, mean age of smokers was 31.80+8.12 years and mean age o f non-smokers was 34.30+8.46 years. The results showed that 45% of non-smokers experienced 1 - 3 days o f menstrual flow, and 5% of non-smokers experienced more than 3 days of menstrual duration.
