Abstract
This study investigates the potential impact of Telfera Occidentalis ethanol leaf extract on the white blood cell (WBC) profile of male Wistar rats with acetic acid-induced ulcers. The experiment employed a randomized controlled design, with the rats divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received oral administration of Telfera Occidentalis ethanol leaf extract, while the control group received a placebo. After a specified treatment period, blood samples were collected to assess the WBC profile. The results revealed significant alterations in the WBC counts of the ulcerated rats treated with Telfera Occidentalis extract, compared to the control group. These findings suggest that Telfera Occidentalis ethanol leaf extract may play a role in modulating the immune response in ulcerated rats, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic agent in ulcer management. However, further research is warranted to elucidate the underlying mechanisms and confirm its safety and efficacy for clinical applications.
