Abstract

This study aimed at evaluating the effect of pumpkin seed extract on total protein level and albumin in rats induced with anemia. A total of Twenty-five (25) Wister strain albino rats with weight range of (120-150 g) were used for this study. The rats were treated as follows: Group 1: Normal rats (Control); rats in this group will be given 30% casein Diet (normal diet) Group 2: Normal rats + protein deficient diet (Rats in this group will be given protein deficient diet) Group 3: Anemic rats+ Protein deficient diet, Group 4: Anemic rats + 30% casein diet, Group 5: Anemic rats + 30% pumpkin seeds blended diet.
