Abstract

This research work is based on the availability and utilisation of ICT facilities in the teaching and learning of Political Science in Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun. The population for the study consists of students. A sample of 100 respondents were sampled, 20 respondents each from five (5) schools were selected through simple random technique. Data were gathered using a self-constructed questionnaire titled “Availability and Utilisation of Information and Communication Technology Facilities in Political Science Questionnaire” (AUICTFPSQ). The validity and reliability of the instrument were ascertained. Percentage count and frequency were used to answer research questions while Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) was used to test the formulated hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the study revealed that the null hypothesis one was rejected. This implied that there was significant relationship between the availability of ICT facilities and the teaching and learning of Political Science. The relationship between the availability of ICT facilities and the teaching and learning of Political Science was moderate and statistically significant in a positive direction.
