Abstract
This study aimed to compare the antibacterial efficacy of garlic (Allium sativum) and neem (Azadirachta indica) seed extracts against selected bacterial strains. The extracts were tested against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa using the agar well diffusion method. The results showed that neem seed extract exhibited stronger antibacterial activity compared to garlic extract, with significant differences in the diameter of inhibition zones (p < 0.001). Ciprofloxacin was used as a positive control and showed higher antibacterial activity than both plant extracts. The study suggests that neem seed extract has potential as a natural antimicrobial agent, and further research is needed to explore its therapeutic applications.
