Abstract

This research presents a comprehensive study of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu — his early life, education, military career, political leadership, and role in the Nigerian Civil War. It analyzes his contributions to the Biafran movement, examines his political philosophy, and assesses his impact on Nigerian unity and postwar reconciliation. Using qualitative methods, the study draws on interviews, archival sources, and scholarly works to provide a balanced account of Ojukwu’s life and legacy. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of Nigeria’s political evolution, highlighting the enduring significance of Ojukwu’s leadership in shaping national identity and historical discourse.
