Design and Implementation of an E-Commerce Website Tailored for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Nigeria

The design and development of an e-commerce platform tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is presented in this project. The system was built to address the challenges faced by SMEs in managing product listings, customer orders, and secure online transactions. Key technologies used include React.js for the frontend interface, Firebase for user authentication, Sanity CMS for content management, and Paystack for handling secure payments. The platform provides a user-friendly web interface for both customers and administrators, enabling seamless product browsing, shopping cart management, and order processing. Administrators can easily manage product inventories, track orders, and analyze customer data through an intuitive dashboard. Thorough testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, was conducted to ensure the system meets the functional and non-functional requirements. The system demonstrated reliability, security, and performance in providing an efficient platform for SMEs to expand their market reach and streamline operations. The platform is scalable and can be enhanced with additional features such as advanced search capabilities, expanded payment options, and improved security measures. This e-commerce solution has significant potential to support the growth of SMEs, providing them with the tools to compete in a digital economy.
