Abstract
Nigeria's growing need for sustainable and dependable electricity makes it necessary to look into energy sources other than traditional fossil fuels. The design and construction of a hybrid renewable energy system is the main subject of this study because it is a practical solution to the nation's energy problems. Hybrid systems combine several renewable energy sources including solar, wind, and biomass, provide increased efficiency, dependability, and less reliance on non renewable energy sources. Nigeria's potential for renewable energy was thoroughly examined, with an emphasis on system configuration, optimization techniques, and resource availability. According to the research, hybrid renewable energy systems can offer a sustainable and affordable power source, especially in off-grid locations and in rural areas where grid access is limited. Despite their potential, They face challenges like high initial investment costs, regulatory limitations, and grid integration problems. The report suggests capacity-building programs, government incentives, and investments in local manufacturing to encourage increased adoption of hybrid systems by Nigeria. These results support further initiatives for Nigeria's transition to a greener, more sustainable energy future
