Abstract
The design and construction of a power failure monitoring system with data logger aimed to detect and record power failures in real-time. The gadget sensed the Alternating Current (AC) voltage using ZMPT101B, Real Time Clock (RTC) DS3231 for keeping the time and date, the 16 x 2 lines LCD was used for the display of the Voltages where a C-like language was written on the Arduino IDE and burned to the Arduino Uno Microcontroller which was used as the brain box of the work. The data obtained from the result showed that the electricity supply for Ede 11KV feeder unit was not in accordance with the Revised Service-Based Tariff (RSBT) stated by the IBEDC. The service provided was very low compared to the tariff used for the area as recorded by the gadget.
