Design and Implementation of Exam Malpractice Record Keeping (a Case Study of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria)

ABSTRACT The research work is to design and implement Automated Examination Malpractice Record and achieve the following objectives. To eliminate manual keeping of exams record, be fast and efficient and appropriate record keeping of exams malpractice. There are different ways in which data can be collected or sorted, but the method that was adopted in carrying out this research work was a direct personal interview and observation. One of the major decisions a researcher must put forward, before embarking on any researcher study is the purpose in order to select an appropriate technique, the research has to consider the cost of the data collection, time available and the nature of the study that will be convenient. Implementation can be said to be a process in which a program or a newly developed system is put into use to serve the purpose to which it was developed. This system is just what an automated system can do. Also the automated system can be improved upon by designing it on a network, In order for the organization to lunch it. This project under a series of test has actually achieved its aims by overcoming the shortcomings of the manual system, such as time wastage, insecurity, redundancy and duplication, wastage of materials, inaccuracy, sorting and short listing, etc. Its implementation has been proven beyond reasonable doubt to meet its aim and objectives. Due to the unreliability of the manual system: It is recommended that the manual system be eliminated as the implementation of Automated Examination Malpractice Record Database will take care of all the loop holes the manual system has failed to cover. Staff should be taught the basics of computing so as to make them familiar with the operations of a general purpose computer. The program should be used in the school of Kaduna State Polytechnic, Kaduna in keeping their records of exam irregularities.
