E-Learning and Leadership Development: a Study on Academic Staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Anambra State

Abstract
This study investigates the impact of e-learning on leadership development among academic staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. In an era where technology has become integral to education, it is essential to understand how digital learning platforms contribute to the enhancement of leadership capabilities within higher education. The total population of academic staff at the university was 2,776, and a sample size of 350 was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing Pearson Correlation analysis to determine the relationship between e-learning adoption and leadership development among the academic staff. The findings revealed a positive and significant correlation, indicating that the integration of e-learning platforms is instrumental in fostering leadership skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, and team management. This study provides valuable insights for university management and policymakers in designing e-learning programs that effectively contribute to leadership development.
