Rev. Sis. Ann Ward and Her Health Care Delivery in Akwa Ibom State (1970-2016)

Abstract
ABSTRACT This work sought to evaluate the Health care service delivery of Rev. Sis. (Dr.) Ann Ward in the Akwa Ibom Area between the periods of 1970 to 2016. The study proposed four objectives which bulged on the legacy of Rev. Sis. (Dr.) Ann Ward within AkwaIbom. The highlights of the legacy of Rev. Sis (Dr.) Ann Ward is resident primarily in her development of a surgical procedure in the treatment of Obstetric Fistula; a condition that leaves women devastated and dejected by their family and community. Materials used for this work were collected from both oral and written sources. Analytical and historical method were used in interpreting and writing out this work.
