Abstract

Abstract: This study focuses on the grammatical analysis (iʿrāb) of selected verses from the poem “Aṣālat al-Ra’y” by the renowned Arab poet Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī al-Ṭughrāʾī. The research seeks to apply linguistic and grammatical principles to explore how syntax and morphology contribute to the poem’s aesthetic and semantic depth. Through detailed parsing of nominal and verbal structures, the study reveals the poet’s mastery of Arabic grammar and rhetoric, emphasizing how syntactic accuracy enhances meaning and artistic expression. The applied analysis demonstrates the importance of iʿrāb in understanding classical Arabic poetry, especially in linking grammatical functions with rhetorical beauty and philosophical thought.
