Design and Implementation of Event Management System

Abstract
The Event Management System (EMS) was developed to address the challenges associated with organizing and managing events efficiently. Traditional event planning methods often involve manual registration, limited attendee tracking, and ineffective notification systems, leading to inefficiencies and poor user experience. To overcome these limitations, this study aims to develop an automated and user-friendly system that simplifies event organization and enhances user engagement. The primary objective of the EMS is to streamline event registration, attendee management, and automated notifications through a secure, scalable, and interactive web-based platform. The system provides event organizers with a dedicated dashboard for event creation, attendee tracking, and communication, while attendees can browse, register, and receive real-time notifications. The system was implemented using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for the frontend, Python Flask for backend processing, and MySQL for data storage. The development followed the Incremental Model, ensuring continuous integration and testing. The system was subjected to unit testing, integration testing, usability testing, and security testing to validate functionality and efficiency. Key features of the EMS include user authentication, event creation and management, automated email notifications, QR code-based check-ins, and a responsive design for accessibility across devices. The system effectively improves the efficiency of event management by reducing manual workload, enhancing user experience, and ensuring timely communication between organizers and attendees. The findings of this study confirm that EMS successfully addresses the limitations of traditional event management, providing a robust and scalable solution. Future enhancements should focus on mobile application development, real-time chat functionality, advanced event analytics, and integration with payment gateways to further improve usability and system performance.
