Effect of Acalypha Fimbriata of Digestive Enzymes on Ham Beetles(necro Rufipes)

Abstract
ThestudyinvestigatestheeffectsofAcalyphafimbriata,amedicinalplantknownforitsbioactivecompounds,onthedigestiveenzymesofhambeetles(Necrorufipes).Thehambeetleisasignificantpestinfoodstorage,andunderstandingitsphysiologymayofferinsightsintopestmanagement.Throughaseriesoflaboratoryexperiments,weevaluatedtheimpactofAcalyphafimbriataextractsontheactivityofdigestiveenzymes,includingamylase,protease,andlipase,inNecrorufipes.Variousconcentrationsoftheplantextractwereadministeredtothebeetles,andenzymeactivitywasmeasuredusingstandardbiochemicalassays.OurfindingsrevealedthatAcalyphafimbriatasignificantlyaffectedtheactivityofallthreedigestiveenzymes,withvaryingdegreesofinhibitionoractivationdependingontheconcentrationused.TheresultssuggestthatthebioactivecompoundsinAcalyphafimbriatacouldpotentiallyalterthenutritionalassimilationinhambeetles,indicatingapotentialavenuefordevelopingnaturalpestcontrolstrategies
