Abstract
ABSTRACT In this study, the design and fabrication of a motorized small scale soap mixer was carried out. The results indicated that the average weight of well-mixed soap produced was 1.54 kg, achieved within an average mixing time of 148 seconds, from an initial soap mixture weight of 1.80 kg. The analysis revealed that as the weight of the soap mixture increased, the mixing time also increased correspondingly. Performance assessment showed a machine capacity of 43.8 kg/hr, allowing for a total processing capacity of 350.4 kg over an 8-hour operational period. The machine demonstrated an efficiency of 85.6%, effectively blending soap ingredients with minimal residue. These findings confirm the machine’s suitability for small-scale soap production, offering high throughput, reliability, and reduced material waste.
