Decisions and Profitability in the Bottled Water Industry in Imo State; (a Study of Up-Dike Industry Ltd Owerri)

Abstract
This study examined Branding decisions and profitability of bottled water industry with particular reference to Up-Dike industry limited Owerri Imo State. However, to achieve the goals of the study a descriptive survey research design was used. Two hundred questionnaires were administered to respondents in order to obtain first time information. Based on the above purpose, appropriate literature related to the research study was reviewed. Data were gathered through primary and secondary sources which helped to elaborate more on this work. The population of the study comprised the customers and distributors of up-dike industry limited. The unit of analysis was minimal and as such, the whole population was adopted. Hypothesis were tested using chi- square statistical tool. The findings revealed that there is significant effect between the firms current branding strategies and profitability of the firm. Based on the findings appropriate recommendation were made.
