The purpose of making research on this topic is to identify customers’ preferences for different types of flooring in the Federal Polytechnic Training Restaurant, assess customers’ perceptions of comfort, safety, and aesthetics associated with various flooring options and analyze the relationship between customers’ preferences for flooring and their overall satisfaction. Flooring plays a crucial role in shaping the dining experience, influencing factors such as aesthetics, noise levels, slip resistance, and ergonomic comfort. 50 questionnaires were administered and the whole 50 were returned and analyzed using simple percentage method at which result shows that that concrete and ceramic tiles are the most commonly used flooring materials, but they contribute to discomfort, fatigue, and safety concerns. Statistical analysis, including a paired sample t-test, confirmed that noise-reducing flooring significantly lowered ambient noise levels, improving customer satisfaction. Correlation analysis further established a positive relationship between noise reduction and comfort perception. The study recommends implementing softer, ergonomic, and slip-resistant flooring materials such as rubber or cushioned vinyl to enhance comfort and safety.
