Abstract
This research project evaluates the carcass characteristics and haematological indices of broiler chickens fed a phytogenic mixture (PM) consisting of ginger, clove, and bitter leaf. A completely randomised design was used in the experiment. A total of 240 broiler chicks were assigned to four dietary treatment groups, designated as T1 (20g PM), T2 (30g PM), T3 (40g PM) and T4 (0g PM/control) per 100kg diets each replicated five times. The experiment was conducted under controlled conditions over eight weeks. Key parameters assessed include carcass weights and percentages, and various haematological indices such as PCV, Hb, RBC, and WBC levels. Results on carcass characteristics indicated that the control group (T4) exhibited superior (P
