Impact of Esie National Museum on Recreational Development Among Residents of Kwara State

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was carried out on Impact of the Eise National Museum on Recreational Development Among Resident of Kwara State. For the purpose of this study five (5) questionnaires were formulated. Relevant literature and major concepts relation to the Museums were discussed. The descriptive survey research design was used for the study by researcher. A sample of one hundred (100) respondents was drawn from a population of five hundred (500) workers and residents of the Esie National Museum in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, the return rate of ninety six (96) was recorded after the administered of the questionnaire. The simple random and sampling technique was used while the data collected were collated and analyzed, using the statistics of percentage to describe the findings of the study. It was recommended that Esie National Museum on their part should seek rapid manpower development through meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops at local, national and international levels. This meetings help to show the diversity of positive things that are happening all over the world and Museums education officers should be encouraged to attend conferences and seminars.
