Abstract

ABSTRACT Understanding the spatio-temporal patterns of users' travel behavior on Campus Shutle (S) systems is essential for more assertive transit planning. Osun state Polytechnic are integral part. of the large communities in which they are located, and many a time display certain attributes similar to that of the host community in terms of mobility needs. Spate interactions and modal choice. This project research based on the finding of the study on Spatio-Temporal Patterns of Transport Structure in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Osun state. The objectives are to examine the spatial patterns of student trips by sex, status, and perceived satisfaction levels, as well as challenges associated with temporal patterns of students movement were randomly selected from poly gate across the campuses. Data were analyzed descriptively. The empirical findings showed that shuttle patronage for intra-campus travels in the study area is highly gendered: with variations in the satisfaction level, due to inadequate services. The paper advocates for appropriate land use planning and developments that will reduce the constraints associated with walking and encourage ecological principles towards achieving diverse and balanced mix of non-motorised and motorised intra-campus transportation system.
