Exploring Adire and Chantilly Fabric in Design and Production of Casual Wears

Abstract
ABSTRACT This project showcased Adire and Chantilly fabrics combined to create casual wears for both males and females. The aim and objectives of the research is to combine Adire and Chantilly fabric to produce casual wears and create awareness in productivity of Adire for casual wears. The study will have a social impact by empowering local artisans and preserving traditional craftsmanship. It will also open an opportunities for contemporary designer to incorporate traditional textiles into their collection. The research used a descriptive research design for the study. The findings of this research shows that most respondents like this trend of combining Adire and Chantilly fabrics together for casual wears. It concluded that Adire fabric is a valuable resource for designing and producing male and female casual wears.
